Blazer Report: Swollen eye won't keep Woods on bench - The Columbian (Vancouver, WA)

TUALATIN, Ore. -- After receiving seven stitches the previousday, Qyntel Woods' left eye still was swollen, and he did notpractice Friday.

But Woods expects to play this afternoon against Golden State.

'It's good; it just looks bad,' Woods said.

Woods was poked in the eye while driving through traffic during ascrimmage near the end of Thursday's practice. A day later, he saidhis vision is fine.

'It's not blurry,' he said. 'It's just kind of swollen and puffy.That's it.'

A new guard?

Guard Keith McLeod is among the 'four or five' point guards theBlazers are considering for their 12th roster spot, coach MauriceCheeks said.

The Blazers have 11 players. Teams are allowed to carry as manyas 12 on the active roster and three on the injured list.

The Timberwolves recently waived McLeod.
